Submission Guidelines:
Send in your story in Text/DOC Format through mail to Jarokha@kwench.in. Submissions in PDF/image format will be rejected.
The story should have the following sections
- TITLE
- SUMMARY (Write a 100-150 word summary about your story)
- CATEGORY (Which Category are you submitting under)
- AUTHOR NAME (Give your full name)
- AGE
- ORGANISATION you or your relation is working for.
- Last and the most important – the story itself.
The ‘kwench Short Story Contest!
Far far away, thousands of miles away from the last post office, lies a small kingdom unaffected by the rush of modern life – Lekhpur. So called, because in this tiny peaceful kingdom, everyone writes all the time. Stories, Poems, Love letters, everything! People here love just love writing (and reading).
There was only one small problem. Cut off from the outside world, their writing was starting to get a bit repetitive. Everyone came up with the same ol’ stuff all the time. A traveler told the King about the lovely people at ‘kwench who read books and now his Majesty, King Ajab Kahani, writer of a thousand tomes invites you to submit your best work for his collection. So come on, write a story. Make a king dance with joy!
The Rules:
The contest is open to everyone! You need not be a ‘kwench member to participate
There are three categories.
- Children (stories for the age group 5-10 years)
- NexGen (stories for the age group 10-16 years)
- Open (you can write about anything and everything)
Multiple entries can be submitted
Family members can participate. Get your children and spouses to write
All submitted content will become property of /‘kwench/.
Stories should be less than 1000 words.
Deadline for submissions – 31st March 2010
